LET'S DO IT!

The Nassau County Sports Commission's "Let's Do It!" program, made possible through the efforts of the Sanjay Kumar Foundation and Computer Associates International, was a program designed to make sports accessible to children of all races and socio-economic backgrounds. The program reached out to several community-based youth organizations each with enrolled participants between the ages of 7 and 16. The program succeeded in introducing children to various sports such as swimming, tennis, karate, roller hockey, lacrosse, luge, golf and soccer. Each sport hosted approximately 100-150 youngsters and for many, these werefirst time experiences.
