Do It! Attends Free Junior Golf Clinic
At The Lightpath Long Island Classic |
The
NCSC would like to thank Andy George and the Lightpath Long Island Classic for
inviting the Let's Do It! program to attend the free Junior Golf Clinic sponsored
by Long Island Golfer Magazine at the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho on Tuesday,
July 30, 2002. |
The
one hour clinic featured an entertaining mix of golf etiquette, instruction and
tips from Defending Champion Bobby Wadkins and Senior Tour Pro Jim Thorpe. Each
child who attended the clinic received a free golf cap with the Long Island Classic
logo. Mr. Wadkins and Mr. Thorpe were also available after the clinic to chat
with and sign hats for the children. |
Over
sixty children from three organizations including the Roosevelt PAL, Soul Harvest
Ministries and the Westbury Church, were able to take advantage of this opportunity
at the Meadow Brook Club. Following the Junior Golf Clinic, the children were
treated to snacks and refreshments before getting ready to make their way back
home. |
